Speaking the Fathers Language

As natural children we usually resemble or act like one or both of our parents. Even our personalities and mannerisms will reflect our parents. Now no manner how fascinating this is, we do not think it to be strange that most of us look like, act, talk, and have our parents’ personalities; they are our parents. Well, the same holds true when we are born of God. As children of God, we should also mirror the personality of our Father, who we as His children, are created in His same image and likeness.

The Bible tells us that, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:12-13

Here we find out that it is the will of God that we are born unto Him. And that He gives us the power to become His son. In Romans 10:8-11, we are taught our first lesson on speaking like our Father, which is the language of faith.

But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

The language of the Father is a faith language that is taught at our birth. In Romans10:8-11, we learn two very importance principles of speaking the Father’s languages:

1. Believing the Word of God in our hearts by faith

2. Confessing the Word of God with our mouth by faith

As you see our very birth was an act of faith. In order for us to become a child of God, we must first believe in our heart that God sent Jesus, He died for our sins, and God has raised Jesus from the dead. We must believe this by faith in order to receive our salvation. Not only believe, but confess this to be true. All of this is an act of faith. Thus, start our journey of speaking like our Father. The Hebrew writer gave more insight in our faith walk with God.

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

As children of God, in order please God or communicate with Him, we must first believe that He is God. We have to communicate, speak, or talk to Him by faith. Here is how we can improve upon our faith language. The more you study, read, meditate, and know God’s Word, the Bible, the more efficiently you can speak the Father’s Language. If we want to speak like our Heavenly Father, then we must use His Word (The Bible).
